Elegant French Louis Philippe mirror with warm gold gilt frame and wonderful patina, with lashings of the red bole underlayer showing through beautifully. Lightly foxed original mercury plate. Original back with rope and hooks.

CONDITION NOTE:
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some nicks and losses and areas of wear. Age-related cracking to frame in various places throughout. General wear all around frame edges, including some nicks and holes along the top edge and the odd old nail from previous affixing methods. Signs of ageing to the mirror plate with some light foxing and the odd light scratch. Mirror gives a quite clear reflection. We have given this mirror a precautionary woodworm treatment for any sign of old woodworm. Please see photos for details.
