19th Century Louis Philippe Gold Gilt French Mirror

Beautiful French Louis Philippe mirror with gold gilt frame and wonderfully foxed mercury plate. Classic repeating rectangle/striped patterned etching to frame with inner beading, and a lovely faded antique appearance overall. Original wooden back slats with eyelet hooks and rope.

CONDITION NOTE:
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some losses and areas of cracking to frame. General wear all around frame edges. The odd old nail and some small holes from previous fixing. Signs of ageing and heavy foxing to the mirror plate with the odd light scratch. As with all of our mirrors we have given this mirror a precautionary woodworm treatment for any sign of old woodworm.
