French Art Brut Concrete Crocodile

Fabulous French mid-century life-sized concrete crocodile. A piece of naive sculptural art from the French art brut movement - art brut translating to 'raw art' and also known as outsider art - it is in the style of prominent art brut sculptor André Hardy. 

This beautiful brute has been sculpted out of reinforced concrete, using mosaic pieces for teeth and eyes, with great texture. The paint has worn wonderfully over the years. It would make a magnificent addition to any design-led home, space or garden.

CONDITION NOTE:
Original, as-found vintage condition. Weathering and wear throughout commensurate with age and use. Some loss to all feet, most evidently to one rear foot, and loss to teeth. Hairline crack running across top of head area, but fully stable. Very sturdy and extremely heavy. Please refer to photos.
