Papier Mâché Decoy Pigeons - Set of Four

A lovely set of four vintage papier mâché decoy pigeons. This charming little group have been working decoys and, as such, been peppered with shots and show suitable wear and tear.

 

The heads are wooden and removable, and can be rotated. They have hollow painted body shells which are made of papier mâché covered by lovely old paint, and their eyes appear to be made of glass.

 

A really lovely, rare and desirable folk item which we are selling as a set of four.

 

These measure approx 35cm from tail to head and 14cm wide
