A lovely, small mid-century landscape composition by Swedish artist Helmer Wallin (1906-2004). Oil on canvas, signed. Presented in its original silver wooden studio frame.

Painting in good vintage condition. Some signs of age and wear to frame. The studio frame is simply made by the artist by applying batons to the canvas edges.

ARTIST BIO
Gustav Helmer Wallin, born 8 April 1906 in Steneby parish, Älvsborg County, died there 17 August 2004, was a Swedish painter. Wallin studied art for Per Lindekrantz in Gothenburg and at the ABC school and through self-study during trips to the Nordic countries. He was influenced in his artistic practice by the Dalsland artist Alvar Lundin and the Gothenburg Colorists. Since 1951 he regularly participated in the Dalslands Art Association's group exhibitions and he was represented in the exhibition Dalslandskonst kym 100 år which was shown in Färgelanda in 1953 and group exhibitions at Lorensbergs konstsalong in Gothenburg.Shipping for this item to U.K. mainland is £10.
