Mid-Century Willy Guhl Spindel/Diabolo Planter - 80 cm

A large mid-century fibre cement 'Spindel' planter (also know as 'Diabolo') by Swiss designer Willy Guhl. This beautiful and sculptural planter is considered to be one of Guhl's most iconic modernist designs. Made in Switzerland. Stamped inside.

MATERIAL NOTE:
This original planter is made from fibre cement by Eternit and is suitable for use outdoors only. The surface layer should not be removed.

CONDITION:
Original planter in well-worn and weathered condition, with remnants of old paint, surface cracks and some moss. On the base there has been some loss/wear to the inner rim edge all around, which does not affect its standing and is only visible when turned upside down. Please refer to photos.
