Wonderful, large original industrial reflective Whistle board lettering. England, circa 1920.

This lovely Whistle lettering is an early example from the steam locomotive era. Whistle boards were in place at certain locations to instruct locomotive drivers to sound their whistle when entering tunnels or approaching level crossings.

Lettering has original painted finish, with inset copper-backed reflectors.

This fabulous decorative lettering would look stunning mounted to a wall or as shelf art. A great piece for vintage railway and industrial enthusiasts.
