£0.00Price
  • *All prices include VAT where applicable*

Pair of rare, late 19th century French Arras folding garden chairs. Wonderful distressed patina, with heavy weathering and wear to layers of old white and green paint. Each chairs bears its original 'Usine St. Sauveur Arras' maker's plaque.

    Width: 41 cm
    Height: 79 cm
Depth of seat (front to back): 34 cm
    All measurements are approximate.

    CONDITION NOTE:
The chairs have been kept in as-found condition. There is heavy weathering and wear, with old flaking paint and rust. They are wonderful as they are in their untouched state, or they could be scraped back, sandblasted, or repainted by their new owner if desired. Note some loss to flaking paint is possible in transit.

Arras furniture is hand-forged, so each chair is slightly unique in appearance. On one of the chairs the slats at the top sit a bit higher than the other chair and are slightly out of shape - there may have been an old repair. One front foot sits slightly off the ground when unladen (depending on the surface it sits on), but sits flat when bearing weight. Please refer to photos detailing the condition and wear.

This product is a vintage item and will show some signs of cosmetic wear and patina. Please refer to photos for reference and if you have any queries regarding the condition of this product, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
