Vintage Painter's Box - Wooden

Lovely, vintage circa mid-century English painter's wooden box with hinged lid and carry handle. Made from wood and nicely splattered with old paint, it has three removable trays filled with old tubes of paint of various colours - 27 tubes approx. - of mostly designer's gouache. In varying aged condition, some tubes have hardened over time, while others are soft.

The box has two hook fastenings on each side, and movement on left-hand side with a butterfly nut allows the lid to remain open.

There is a faintly painted address on inside lid that reads:
'47 Hampstead Way, London , NW11'

It's a lovely-looking box that would be perfect as a prop or display.

CONDITION NOTE:
Some splits to wood and warping to lid. A bit of damage to closing pin area at the front by the handle. A bit of movement in hinges. Overall, a good vintage look. Please see all photos for details.
